Carmen A. Cortés Ramos

Carmen A. Cortés Ramos is the Founder and Principal Member of Legal Project Management, Partners, LLC.  She holds a Legal Project Practitioner Certification from the International Institute of Legal Project Management.  Her knowledge in the project management, regulatory field, and legal expertise, has contributed to different leading organizations, in and out  of Puerto Rico, in various industries including: pharmaceuticals, drug distribution, medical plans, service companies and non-profit organizations, to achieve their goals.

She has vast experience in management consulting, which includes management of legal and regulatory projects, legal advice, and regulatory compliance matters, development of policies and procedures, and investigations, among others.   Cortes served as regulatory and legal advisor, a consulting firm with multiple services divisions that included: validation, quality and regulatory services; calibration and validation services to instruments and equipment; and a testing laboratory. She led the efforts to achieve the ISO 9001 certification for one of the business units, and was responsible for establishing its Quality Assurance Program, and participated in various Quality Departments’ audits. 

Among her legal experience, Cortes worked in cases related to FDA Consent Decrees to pharmaceutical companies where she participated reviewing evidence and preparing witnesses for Grand Jury. 

Ms. Cortes is also an Adjunct Professor for the Legal Externship Semester Courses at the University of Puerto Rico School of Law, since 2013, and she directed the School’s Professional Development Office for two years.  She is admitted to the Puerto Rico State Courts and the U.S. District Court for the District of Puerto Rico.
